Upstream speed = (boat in still water − stream).
5 = 7 − v ⇒ v = 2 km/hr.
Answer: 2 km/hr

Let speed of Rahul in still water = b km/h
and
speed of current = c km/h.
Then,
Downstream speed = b + c = 11
Upstream speed = b - c = 7
Adding both: 2b = 18
b = 9
Subtracting: 2c = 4
c = 2
✅ Rahul’s speed in still water = 9 km/h
✅ Speed of current = 2 km/h
